Eskişehir Chamber of Industry (Eskişehir Sanayi Odası) signs a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Australian Turkish Chamber of Commerce

The Australian Turkish Chamber of Commerce has formalised a  partnership with the Eskişehir Sanayi Odası (Eskişehir Chamber of Industry) through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) during the World Chambers Congress (ICC) visit held in Australia. This agreement underscores a shared commitment to strengthening trade and investment opportunities between Australia and Türkiye.

The MOU was signed at the residence of the Melbourne consul general of the republic of Türkiye by Mr Celalettin Kesikbas, Chairman of the Eskişehir Chamber of Industry, together with Attila Ceylanbas, Chairman and Bekir Kilic, MAICD, Co-founder and Board Director of the Australian Turkish Chamber of Commerce.

The signing ceremony was also attended by His Excellency, Ufuk Gezer, the Turkish Ambassador to Australia, Mr Doğan Isik, Turkish Consul General Melbourne, M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), Natalie Suleyman MP Government of Victoria, Hazal Oğuz Sarıkaya, Commercial Attaché and other distinguished guests.

Eskişehir’s geographical position makes it one of the most strategically important provinces in Turkey for trade and logistics. Located in Central Anatolia, Eskişehir sits between Turkey’s two largest metropolitan areas—Ankara and Istanbul. The province is well connected by railways, highways, and airways, enhancing its role in domestic and international commerce. Eskişehir Province boasts a diversified and dynamic economy with strong industrial and export base in machinery, rail, automotive, aviation, ceramics, mining, and food processing. A services-led economy supported by education, logistics, and a skilled workforce. Supplementary contributions from agriculture and cultural tourism. This diverse industrial landscape positions Eskişehir as a key partner for fostering trade and investment opportunities with Australia.
